Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I obtain my official roster and player cards?

Please contact your club administrator to obtain your official roster and player cards.

We accept documentation from all USSF-affiliated organizations, including:

  • US Youth Soccer
  • US Club Soccer
  • AYSO
  • USSSA

An example roster and player cards can be found in the Resources section below.

Will you accept a GotSport-generated roster?

Generally, no.

Teams must upload an official roster issued by their state association or league. Excel spreadsheets, handwritten rosters, and unofficial documents cannot be accepted.

Exception: If your state association operates through GotSport, you may upload the official PDF roster generated by GotSport.

How do I add guest players?

If a guest player is from another club, you must upload:

  • A completed Guest Player Form
  • The player's official player card

If the guest player is from within your own club, a Guest Player Form is not required. However, you must still upload the player's official player card.

Once your Guest Player documentation is complete, add the player to your tournament roster. Handwritten additions at the bottom of the roster are acceptable.

Please note that players from different governing organizations may not be combined on the same roster. For example, a US Youth Soccer roster may not include a US Club Soccer player.

Can players play up or down an age group?

Players may play up an age group.

Players may not play down an age group unless prior written approval has been granted by the Tournament Director.

Please refer to the Birth Year Chart on your tournament's event page for age group eligibility.

Can a player be rostered on multiple teams?

No.

Players may not be double-rostered during the tournament.

When will I know my roster has been approved?

Approved rosters will be uploaded to your GotSport account by the Wednesday prior to the tournament.

If additional information or corrections are needed, our tournament staff will contact the coach or team manager listed on your GotSport application.
