Mark your calendars, wing lovers—Wings 4 Water is back at Paragon Star, and this year’s event is set to be bigger, bolder, and saucier than ever. On Thursday, September 4th, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM, the Paragon Star Sports Complex will transform into the epicenter of flavor, music, and community spirit.
With over 45 wing competitors dishing out between 400 and 1,200 wings each, this event is staking its claim as the world’s largest chicken wing cook-off—right here in the heart of the Midwest. Whether you crave the heat of classic buffalo, the kick of spicy dry rub, or inventive creations like chicken-and-waffle wings, your taste buds are in for an unforgettable ride.
This year’s competition is officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, raising the stakes for the prestigious KCBS/W4W “Wing of the Year” award. And it’s more than just a cook-off—attendees will enjoy live music, all-you-can-eat wings, local vendors, merch giveaways, and the intrigue of “stealth judges” secretly influencing the final vote.
Be sure to wear your Chiefs red—perfect for showing team pride and hiding any evidence of wing sauce “battle scars.”
Beyond the flavor, Wings 4 Water has a mission: since its humble backyard beginnings in 2011, the event has helped more than 11,000 people gain access to clean water. Every vote you cast helps fund global clean water projects and local relief efforts.
Come hungry, leave inspired, and be part of an unforgettable night where every bite makes a difference. Let’s eat wings. Let’s change lives.
