Nicola Cowen our NEPA Team Lead is now a Certified Climate Change Professional! Nicola works closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and program managers to ensure that all the requirements for Records of Environmental Consideration (RECs), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) are met. Nicola is currently working on the Construction of a New Defense Intelligence Agency Headquarters, and Restoration of an Industrial Stormwater Outfall. As well as the Davison Army Airfield Area Development Plan. With this certification Nicola plans to Improve incorporation of New Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Effects of Climate Change Guidance specifically for NEPA into Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements, Collaborate and Include information in NEPA documentation that will facilitate the DPW Master Planning Division with the assessment, planning for, and adaption of Federal project impacts of changing climate and extreme weather, for new construction, additions and renovations of existing structures and Area Development Plans (ADP) and Complement Paragon’s Resilience Planning Services with the incorporation of climate resilience strategies and existing tools to enhance their commitment to developing strategic energy and resilience plans for Federal Energy Management Programs.
